Connor
this weekend

I knew Kendon was a wrestler (wrastler as his family would say. yes we are from southeast Idaho!) when I married him and always figured we'd have a wrestler ourselves, and BOY DO WE! Connor started wrestling practice a few weeks ago and he loved it from the first moment he stepped onto the mat. This week he had his first two tournaments and he did so well. I was so proud of him. I was not only proud that he did so well (winning 7 out of 9 matches) but more importantly for his winning attitude and determination. Connor demonstrated very well two aspects of our family motto. He "worked hard," and he "had joy." I don't care if he **wins or loses, but I want him to always try his best and have fun doing it. And HE DID! Wrestling is not an easy sport. Sometimes it hurts (and makes you cry. ugh.) and you don't want to go back out there and finish the match, but Connor did every time. He NEVER gave up even when he was on his back being outmatched. He kept fighting until he heard that whistle blow. What great characteristics to have throughout your life.
We are so proud of you Connor Man!
**Though, honestly I like it when he wins better. I mean, who wouldn't? But seriously, wrestling is a tough sport to watch when you are the mama. Oh boy. Thankfully, he won more than he lost so MY tears were kept to a minimum. Phew!
