Heaven Help Me!

Yesterday, Sirri came running in the house after school.

"Momma, Momma! Today was my best day ever!"

She could hardly get the words out fast enough.

"Really Sirri? What happened?"

"Austin kissded me! And I liked it! And I'm going to marry him!"

So, Sirri had a lot to say, but her mother was speechless.

"Ready or not, Austin. Here I come!"

When Evan came home with a girl's phone number when he was in Kindergarten I felt the world spin a little faster. It was terrifying.

Love how you said you were speechless. I have been speechless many times, too. I have quite a collection of gray hairs. It's lovely.

Oh Lisa, this really scares me. That picture is perfect for the thought. I wish children somehow understood that they have such a short time to be little, and the rest of forever to be an adult, and do adult things.

Love the picture to go along with the story.

I remember my first "real" kiss at 16. I came into the house and told my mom and said it wasn't that great.

In retrospect, I'm sure my mom was doing a happy dance after I left the room.

I even remember my boyfriend in the first grade ------ and you know how long ago that was!!! So, you really don't have to worry! It is all human nature and she will be just fine!! Her emotions are developing!! Just like the rest of her!!!!
Love all of you!
