Jensen Family Week in Review Feb. 4-10

A Series of Unfortunate Events

Location:
  • A land of much snow and wind.
Directed by:
  • A Mommy who hasn't had chocolate or candy all week.
Starring:
  • Two sick children, one not being my own, who ended up having bronchitis.
  • One stubborn 15 month old, learning to throw a mean fit.
  • And a darling three year old who continues to pee the bed.
The Plot:
  • A mom trying to make a few bucks, tries to donate plasma twice but couldn't.
  • A major fiasco at the gym, equaling lots of trades quitting, the fire marshal called in and tears. Thankfully it didn't affect my job too much.
  • A poor little four year old girl (named Sirri) , having diarrhea all day, waiting in the bathroom for her mom to help her, pulls a cupboard down on her head and breaks the toilet.
  • Pre-school canceled.
  • A baby that suddenly refuses to sleep through the night and screams her head off when you put her in bed.
  • A van that is in desperate need of a new transmission.
  • A daddy trying to teach his baby girl to walk. Much to the chagrin of the chocolateless Mommy.
Hopefully, NOT Coming to a Theater Near You!

And yet...
The Happy Ending:
(Because I think all movies should have a happy ending!)
  • A fresh batch of playdough.
  • Playing with the family in the snow.
  • A moose in our yard all day.
  • A dedicated temple five miles from the "set."

I love a movie with a happy ending!
Sounds like quite a week . . . was the four year old that broke the toilet our four year old???? I'd say, better the toilet than her head! Hopefully the gym has insurance for such things! I'll bet Kendon wishes it was "moose hunting season". Right in your yard . . . I'll bet the kiddos thought that was pretty neat! Grandpa is excited to come and see you Tuesday. I'm jealous! Love you all, Mom/Grandma

My summaries are definitely not that cute or creative, or free of chocolate.

...pulls a cupboard down on her head and breaks the toilet?? ha, sorry for the ha, but what?! poor baby.

but a moose to stare at all day, and entertain the kids by doing... nothing? heck I'd stare all day.

Great movie... I'll bring the chocolate.

That is one special feature I have seen...and hope to never see again. :-)

Fun ending, though!

Whoa! That was some week.

That was so clevely written! At least living in misery hasn't hampered your wittiness, right?

The pictures were priceless!

Yes, Mom, the four year old was ours. And no, it didn't happen at the gym. At home. I wouldn't take Sirri to the gym with diarrhea!

Take no offense, but that is one movie I'll try to avoid if I can. Except the ending. I like happy endings.

Sorry about the rough week. What the heck happened at the gym anyway?!

Ok, I know you wouldn't take her sick! But how broke is the toilet?? I'm assuming it is the white cupboard you keep towels in? Is it broke too???? This week can only be better because Grandpa is coming to visit and Grandma is very very very jealous!!
Love you all, Mom
P.S. And yes, I too wonder what is going on at the gym!

Oh that first part sounds awful! A cupboard falling on the head can never be a good thing. Ouch. Cool wildlife though in your yard!

I love how you did this one. Very creative. I really must remember to get the camera out more - you're so good about that.

What I don't understand is - why are you chocolate-less? The concept is new to me. I can't imagine a day without chocolate!

This critic gives you two thumbs up! But for your sake, I hope there isn't a sequal!

I wish I could wake John up and show him that moose in your yard! He would DIE!!!!

But I'm still sorry about your crappy week. So sad!
