The other night I was folding laundry and watching Dancing With the Stars. I thought that Sirri would enjoy the dancing and told her to come in and watch with me.
She walked in the room, took one look at the dancers, and here is the conversation that followed:
Sirri: "Mom, that 's not honest." Mom: "What's not honest." Sirri: (Pointing at the T.V.) "That's not honest. It's NAKED!!!"
That is classic. I watch excerpts of Dancing with the Stars online, but I have a hard time doing it because Sydney also points out that every dress is not modest. I like watching it, but I am disappointed that even the Mormon dancers are not really modest. Julianna is a lot more immodest this year than she was last year. Marie is a little better, but not much. Okay, I'm off my soapbox. Thanks for listening. =)
From the mouths of Babes!!! But, she is right! They do get a little skimpy with their dresses! In the Sunday's "Parade" section, someone asked "why they wore so little?" The answer was, it made it possible to do all the movements they have to do while dancing! I guess maybe that makes it OK??? You just keep thinking that little Miss Sirri!! We love you!
Right on! N just wait until you are in a store and she says that 2 feet away from the person in question. It may be true, but it's a little embarrassing!

Words of Wisdom
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” -Marianne Williamson

SO CUTE! Kids are so funny. They always know exactly what they're talking about even if they can't say it quite right!

She is so right. That's just the naked show.
I know. My kids are always saying "That's showing too much skin!" I do enjoy watching though. After they're in bed...
Ok, that is soooo cute! Yea mom, for teaching 'em right!
She does kind of look like Eve. Maybe that's what she wore prancing around the garden, before she tempted Adam to sit next to her and eat already.

Ya know Edita? I always think she looks the most naked. And the best of course. I would kill for that body.
remember when the shanty did the modest fancy dress thing for your young womens? fun times.
