I'm Off to See the Baby...

Sung to the tune of: Follow the Yellow Brick Road

(Hint: when singing L.A., sing as LA, as in la la la la. It flows better!)

Follow the right concourse signs, follow the right concourse signs.
Follow, follow, follow, follow, follow the right concourse signs.

I'm off to see the baby
the beautiful baby of LA
You'll find she is a BABE of a babe if ever a babe there was.
If ever, oh ever, a babe there was, the babe of LA is one because
because, because, because, because, because,
just how truly darling she was. (and still is!!!!!!!!)

I'm off to see the baby, the beautiful baby of LA!

Wish me luck, I'm a little nervous about:
airports, and traffic and gangs oh my!
airports, and traffic and gangs oh my!
airports, and traffic and gangs oh my!

Just kidding about the gangs but big airports do make me really nervous. I have to change planes in SLC and I'm scared. Don't laugh. I know it is pathetic, but my little airport only has ONE terminal (if you can even call it that) and I like it that way. So, seriously, be thinking of me today and hoping and praying for me that I don't get a nervous wreck induced ulcer!

I'm already feeling nervous/guilty enough about leaving my family. They are in good hands (their father's most of the time) so I know they will be fine. I'm so lucky and get to go and do things by myself all the time because my hubby is so supportive. I'm so thankful for him! But it can be hard to be gone for so long. When I booked my flight, five days didn't seem long enough, but now that it is here, I'm missing my family a bit already and I haven't even left yet.

But really, I can't wait, because......

I have the most talented daughter,
the best writer in the town.
She is, she is, she is, she is!
Oh, yes, her mother's bragging, and I can't think of anything to rhyme with town!

How fun your blog is dolly! And Kendon and the kiddos will be fine. You deserve a break!

Have fun with our beautiful baby girl of LA. Give her lots of hugs and kisses from Grandma!

Have a great time. I hereby banish all guilt forever. Every good mother is that way because she gets a few days off now and then. Soak up that sun!

That sounds divine. I hate airports too. And your blog is creative. Love the sing songs. And how did I miss so many posts? Must go catch up. Beware of your layover in SLC. It's been snowing all day, but I actually don't think that SLC got hit as bad as where I am.

I am so excited for you, Honey!!! You deserve a few days off, especially to see your big sister and your new little niece!! You need to some things for publishing! No kidding! When you get the kids in school, you need to think about that! Kendon will take very good care of the kids while you are gone and you already know that! You are lucky to have a good husband like him! However ----he is very lucky too, and he knows it!
Please give hugs, kisses , cuddles in the neck for us too!
We love you!

I agree with Gab. You're time away will help you be a better wife/mom when you return. Enjoy!

Okay...your mom's comment is the nicest and cutest thing I've read in a while. I love that she calls you dolly, and I love that she brags on you. You are one lucky lady!

Have a great time in LA. Enjoy every minute of it. Besides the kids will appreciate you a lot more when you come home!
