AND
  • GO!
Getting ready for a big trip AFTER kids...
  • arrange sitters for two days
  • be so grateful that you have awesome friends (Jaci and Jenny) who will take your kids
  • buy a new pair of jeans because your one pair of good ones got ripped on the computer chair
  • clean house
  • donate plasma to have some extra spending money
  • go shopping and spend plasma money on groceries
  • make and freeze dinners for sitters so they don't have to worry about meals after a long day with all those kids
  • make and freeze dinners for hubby so he doesn't have to worry about meals either
  • clean house again, after destroying kitchen making all those meals
  • get a much needed hair cut
  • wish you could get a pedicure to have pretty California ready feet
  • call Kim and have her arrange for pedicures
  • drop off diapers, snacks, extra clothes, leotard for gymnastics, food etc. etc. to sitters
  • go to the dentist and have a tooth that suddenly hurts fixed (I'd hate to have a tooth ruin my vacation.)
  • worry/feel guilty about leaving kids and hubby for so long
  • check lists to make sure I'm not forgetting anything
  • clean out purse
  • do laundry
  • pack bags
AND
  • GO!

Wait... I think I must have missed the post that said where you are going and why. Is it a just for fun trip?? Where in California??? Good luck and I hope you have a great time! You'll be glad you did all the prep work when you're relaxing without your kids.

I am so glad you get to have a little break. You are going to love it. I'm just worried about your reentry after all of that fun. Have a great time!

The freezer meals mention shows what a good mom you are. I say, "FEND FOR YOURSELVES, YOU ANIMALS!"

Have fun!!!!

Seriously so true. Almost (I said almost) makes the trip not worth it. And no one mentioning re-entry are they? Cause that would ruin your trip.

HAVE LOTS OF FUN!

You forgot to add to your list: "blog about getting ready for a trip". You must be super organized if you're able to blog about the whole event. =) Have a great time. My sister lives in So Cal; I've only been there twice to see her, but it is a nice place to go.
