Write? Right? Rite?

I have always Ben a good speller. Inn fact, in fourth grade I was devastated to lose the biggest spelling bee of the year to Brie Butler because I failed to capitalize the T in Tuesday. Know, I have knot forgotten that. I don't think I ever will. Being able to spell well is important two me.

This is won reason I really love being married too a Jensen. It is know secret that spelling is knot their forte. One day when Kendon and I were dating, he left me a note asking me two "please pick up the pitchers." When I realized he meant, pictures, I new that hour marriage wood always bee a happy one, four I find much happiness in correcting misspelled words.

So, I am shore ewe could understand my frustration as I sat in my van yesterday in front of the post office trying two spell the word, nausious. nausous. naucious. NAUSEOUS! I couldn't do it. I DIDN'T do it. I hesitantly put the cute handmade, handwritten, now RUINED, because of one misspelled word, card in the male.

And due you know what is two blame? Do you know why I struggled to spell that blasted word, nauseous? It is all spell check's fault. I know longer have too think in order to spell. Get it wrong? Can't remember if it's "i" before "e" or "e" before "i"? Never fear. Spell check is always hear. And it is ruining me. And I due knot like it.

But, hay! At least I have know glaring red lines staring back at me. Isn't spell Czech grate?!?!?

Oh, I am such a spelling snob. You will be laughed to scorn in my family if your place of business has a sign with incorrect spelling.

good work--this was hilarious. it was hard for me to read. eventhough the words were still the same word, it was tricky for me.

richard's my spell check. i get emails with one word in them and i know to go back to my blog and edit something.

I rely heavily on spellcheck and dictionary.com. It's my understanding that when you write out a word, your brain establishes a pattern of that word and that in turn helps you to memorize the spelling of it. That pattern isn't established just typing the word. And what our brain doesn't use on a regular basis gets pruned.

I HATE that word too...

Spell Check, along with having babies, has taken my spelling brain cells. :(

This was great!! Your so creative, I always love reading your blog.

I never spell check, except on my blog, but I am a pretty good speller. It is my typing that is the problem, I type pretty fast and then never reread my statements. So, if my comments don't make any sense or something is spelled wrong, you now know why!! ;-)

this confirms we were separated at birth. we can also bolster the nature/nurture theory because as separated twins, we married similar men.

dateline will be calling soon. people eat this stuff up.

nothing aggravates me more than when i misspell a word.

My pet peeve is the incorrect use of your/you're and the like. NOTHING makes me crazier.

This post was hilarious. Had me laughing out loud!

Hey! That is very hard to do!! And, you did a terrific job! I, too was a good speller in school, but I know I make quite a few mistakes now! I think maybe my memory isn't quite so good???!!! Oh dear, getting old is for the birds!! You can make the blog fun even without the pictures, Honey! But, we do miss the pictures of the little ones!! Give them hugs for us!
We love you!

Oh, spelling, my pet peeve. I am horrified when I spell something wrong, like I did eatable instead of edible on my blog. What was I thinking?

Very funny!!!

I hate ruining a card. I do the same thing if it isn't right.

So I don't send cards.

I hate misspelled words too! This was so creative!
What's worse are my sisters. They call me and tell me when I spell something wrong on my blog. I swear the reason why it happens is because sometimes blogger spellcheck is retarded and doesn't catch everything.

Great post. I had to start skimming it though because the misspelled words were driving me crazy!

This post made me CRAZY. Notice I did not use a "K."

Darn spell check! It is evil x 2- you forget how to spell (because spell check will catch it, right?) and it misses misspellings that are otherwise real words!

I do my best to spell everything correctly too! I just think you look stupid if you don't hit the bloody spell check button!!

Haha! I loved this post! You are so funny. I am so uptight about spelling. I too got second place in my 4th grade spelling bee and have been scarred for life (is that how you spell scarred?)lol! Your little stories are always hilarious! I love reading your blog and check it often for a good laugh or something heartwarming!

That was so fantastic!!! You have great phonics skills!!!

The other day I wrote a note to a friend when I dropped by her house and she wasn't home. I couldn't remember how to spell a word and I actually wrote on the note...sorry, if anything is mispelled...I can't find the spellcheck on this sticky note. I agree with you...I rely too much on it. I wish there was a spellcheck option when leaving comments on blogs.

Oh, by the way...I love the way you explained to Sirri why you attend the temple. I loved the, "So I can help other people get closer to Heavenly Father." I have been thinking about that answer for several days and I am going to use it :)
