"Yee you."

I've always been a little bit concerned about Meg's communication skills. She had been quite slow to speak...UNTIL NOW!

Suddenly, she has started to talk and learns and uses new words every day. When she talks she seems so big and every day my baby grows up a bit more. Before I know it, I'll be putting her on a bus for school.

Here are a few cute things she has said lately:
  • "Mama, wa me." (Translation: "mama, watch me."
  • "I hepping. I hepping." (Translation: I'm helping. I'm helping." And she was so proud of herself!)
  • I was wiping Meg's nose and she was upset. I picked a booger off and said, "See Meg? Look!" Her response..."WOW!"
  • Meg kept putting my hoodie on my head and I asked her to stop. She looked at me and said, "tay." Then she was doing it again and I again asked her to stop. Sweet Meggers said, "Tay. Tarry." (Sorry.)
Other words:

pease- please
See- Sirri
Nonnor- Connor
dah done - all done
dee - drink
tane tou - thank you
nack - snack
myeee - more
bankie - blanket
buboy - bubbles (refering to one in her nose!!!)
yee you - I love you

Awwwwwwwww I love it! I love those sweet little things she says. So, so darling.

My heart breaks a little when my kids start to enunciate things correctly. My mom and I mourned when Evan quit calling her, "Blamma" and could call her, "Grandma". We whined, "It's the end of an era!!"

I can just hear her sweet little voice.

You will be SOO glad you got these down! I always think I'll remember the cute things...but the naughtiness generally takes over.

I second Gab. Good for you for writing them down. It seems like so long ago that my kids were doing baby talk and I can not remember it!

Yeaaaaaaa!!! See, I told you! Your Mom was the same way when it came to talking! It is because she didn't have to! She couldn't get a word in edgewise! Now, the other two are gone for part of the day and she has to talk to you!
Bles her heart - she is so darned cute and I cannot believe she is going to be two!! This Grandma had forgotten it is so soon! I think maybe there are so many now and my memoror isn't quite so good???! :(
We love you all!!

In the 6 or so months I've been with Meg on Sundays, I can't believe how much she's grown. She is definitely talking a lot more (which I pretty much understand!), and way more outgoing with the kids. I adore her!

My goodness, in going back and reading some of the comments, I see that your Grandma is forgetting to proofread what she writes!!! I am sorry for the errors! Papa is always telling me to proofread before sending!!
Love you!
