My Cheeks Hurt!

You know when you have a really great workout and your muscles are just sore enough to be a constant reminder that you worked hard? So, even though it hurts, mostly you just feel good?

That's how my cheeks feel this morning. I smiled so long and hard last night that my cheeks are sore. I'm not sure I want buff cheeks or anything but I don't care.

My cheeks got this great workout because I was able to see my kiddos for the first time since I have been here.

My old roomate from college, Michelle, came to visit last night and she brought her laptop with a webcam so we called the kiddos!!!! It was so fabulous and refreshing to see their happy smiling faces. It was so sweet to hear Sirri and Connor talk to each other. I melted each time Sirri would say, "hey Connor. I have a stuffed pig for you." Or, "hey Connor, I have a rice krispy treat for you." And Connor would just grin from ear to ear. I died a thousand deaths every time Meg blew me a kiss and said, "hi mommommommoma." It was so great to see Kendon again even though it makes me miss him more. It was just so great. we were able to call Kim and Rich and Baby Sarah too. Ah. It was pure therapy for me and Sirri as well. She needed  a little boost and seeing those she loves the very most did the trick!

Not only did Michelle bring her laptop (which she left and I'm using in Sirr's room right now! It's so nice!) but she also brought tons of magazines and dinner and ice cream. Just seeing and being with her was such a breath of fresh air for me. It was just what I needed to get me through the home stretch here! Thank you so much for everything Michelle.  Youcan come make my cheeks hurt any day!

Yay, Michelle!! What a great friend :)

I love that Sirri and Connor got to talk and that she is excited to share things with him. Little Meg sounds so sweet...I know it must be hard...I'm sorry. I am so glad your CHEEKS ARE SORE, though! :)

Lisa,
I'm so glad you got to see your kids! I've been thinking about you and praying for you, Sirri and your family. Have your family's names been called into the temple yet? I'd be happy to do it.
Let me know.

Okay, I go on vacation and get behind on blogging and all of this happens to you and your little family!

I'm so happy to hear that Sirri is cancer free and getting the attention that she needs! Good luck and keep smiling!
